Patrick and his son Matthew wanted some father and son shots in a nice park area before the snow totally dominated all the park grass and trees. What I didn't realize is that when there is a thousand gold and brown leaves on the ground, it makes a great setting for portraits. Even the bare trees limbs add a bit of warmth and contrast to the photos. That's the most fantastic thing about being in a creative field, you're always learning about your craft. This was done right after Thanksgiving in Denver, CO.

Urbanity Hair Studio
I love to do promotional work with people in small businesses. Urbanity Hair Studio is owned and operated by Teresa Padilla. She's a phenomenal hair stylists and one of the sweetest, most endearing people I know. This shoot was done late November in Aurora, Colorado. Her Salon is on Smokey Hill and Buckley Rd.

We've only just begun....
Alright, I was completely and totally anti-blog at one point because of the increasing disastrous effects that it could have on your life...Say the wrong thing and BAM! a thousand people hate you. However, in these growing times of technology and people really wanting to know what everyone in the world is up to, I decided that I too would become a part of Big Brother. So here it is...
My name is Marci Johnson, I am a mother of two in Aurora, Colorado, married for 8 years to the guy I got all googly eyed for in high school (yes, it only took me 9 years to ask him out!) and, um, oh yeah, I just happen to be a photographer. My life revolves around potty training, homework, Wow Wow Wubbzy and being allowed to capture amazing moments in my clients lives...

Writing for me is always very cathartic, hopefully blogging will be too. I plan on writing about my experiences on my photo shoots to remember the good, the bad and the sometimes ugly moments in my adventures in of photography.
So to steal from Oprah....Here we go.
